Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 February 2025
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Liivable (“the Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Liivable provides neighbourhood liveability reports for English postcodes. Reports are generated using publicly available data from UK government sources and present an aggregated score across multiple categories including flood risk, crime, air quality, schools, energy efficiency, and more.
2. Data Accuracy and Disclaimer
Scores and data presented by Liivable are based on publicly available government data and are provided for informational purposes only. Reports should not be used as the sole basis for any property purchase, investment, or other significant decision. You should always conduct your own due diligence and seek professional advice where appropriate.
While we endeavour to keep data current, government datasets are updated at varying intervals and may not reflect the most recent conditions. Liivable makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any data presented.
3. Eligibility
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
4. Payment Terms
- Single reports: charged at the price shown at the point of purchase. Single reports are non-refundable once generated, as the digital content is immediately supplied.
- Pro subscription: billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time via your dashboard; you will retain access until the end of your current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued.
- All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your payment details are subject to Stripe’s terms and conditions.
5. Digital Content — UK Consumer Rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If you believe a report does not meet these standards due to a technical error on our part (rather than issues with underlying government data), please contact us at support@liivable.com and we will investigate.
By purchasing a single report you expressly consent to immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that your right to withdraw from the contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 is lost once the report is generated.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and software comprising the Liivable platform is owned by or licensed to Liivable and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Government data used in reports is licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and remains Crown copyright. Full attribution is available on our Attribution page.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from the Service without written permission.
- Resell or commercially redistribute reports without authorisation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent any security measures.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liivable shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
